About AGC Pediatrics

Located in Calhoun and Cartersville, Georgia, AGC Pediatrics is a faith-based organization that serves all of God’s children. Since opening our doors in 2006, we have provided quality pediatric care to patients through 21 years of age at each of our four clinic locations, as well as Gordon Hospital and Cartersville Medical Center. Led by Dr. Joseph L. Joyave, our team of experienced and compassionate pediatric medical staff is dedicated to meeting the needs of all children in the North Georgia area.
Behavioral Medicine
Unlike most pediatric practices in the North Georgia area, AGC Pediatrics offers comprehensive behavioral medicine services for patients who are covered by Medicaid and PeachCare. Our staff of pediatric experts includes Dr. Tim Chomyn, a certified Clinical Psychologist, and Shawn Haggard, a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ADD/ADHD and other behavioral and mental health issues.
Pediatric Allergy & Asthma
AGC Pediatrics offers pediatric asthma and allergy treatment, including non-invasive allergy testing, a relatively painless procedure that identifies specific allergens your child should avoid.
Newborn Wellness
At AGC Pediatrics, we provide support for new parents and infants. Our pediatricians follow the schedule of newborn wellness check-ups recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and offer new mothers and fathers the opportunity to meet our healthcare providers, tour our facility, and learn more about their child’s health.
