Board certified in Pediatrics since 1993, Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Masters in Pharmacology from Auburn University.  WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!  Trained at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama in Medicine and Pediatrics and with 6 years of service in the Air Force as a Pediatrician and Flight Surgeon.  Interests in Behavioral Medicine and Chronic Illnesses in Children.

Wayne Darville, MD

Graduate of Oakwood University 1980, Chemistry and Zoology, University of South Florida College of Medicine 1984 Emory University, Pediatric Residency Training Programme 1987. Special Interests: Pediatric ER and Trauma, Procedures, Life-Flight and Angel Transports. Served in the Departments of Pediatric as well as the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine as Associate Professor.  “My heartfelt purpose is: Serving families as they grow together in health and harmony.”

Annalise Cawley, MD

Dr. Cawley graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine. She trained at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. Dr. Cawley has been treating children for over 10 years now.

AGC Pediatrics is proud to welcome her back to our practice, after she has spent the last 4 years in Covington, GA. She will be treating all pediatric patients, including behavior consults in the Cartersville offices. 

Tim Chomyn, Ed.D.

Dr. Tim Chomyn received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1972. He went on to complete his Master's degree in School Psychology at Georgia State University. In 1985, Dr. Chomyn earned his Ed.D. in School Psychology from the University of Georgia. For the past 27 years, he has worked as a Clinical Psychologist.

Rebecca Moore, NP-C

Becky graduated from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in 1997, started working at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Scottish Rite in the Emergency Dept for 7 years.  Graduated from Georgia State University in 2002 with an MS in Nursing, Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  Becky lives in Kennesaw with her husband Steve and children, Charlie, Sara and Wesley.

Michelle Smith, PA-C

Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Georgia, in 2001. In 2004, she went on to receive her Bachelor of Allied Health Sciences as a Physician Assistant from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

Michelle has been a physician's assistant in Calhoun for 10 years now. She has served at AGC Pediatrics for all of those 10 years, and has worked part time at Gordon Emergency Services for 5 years.

Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, her husband and her two young sons. Photography, outdoor sports, and foreign missions are among her interests.


Lisa Reen, PNP - C

​Lisa graduated from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in 2000. She worked @ Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in the NICU and Step-down unit for 3 years. She graduated from Georgia State University in 2002 with a MS is Nursing, certified and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She returns back to AGC after 4 years of living out of state. Lisa lives in Cartersville with her husband and two boys.

Angel D Acevedo, MD

Angel, aka “Dr. A” completed his undergraduate degrees in Biology   and Chemistry. Dr. A received his MD from the University of Puerto Rico in
1988.  He was trained in Pediatrics at the NJ Medical School and Childrens
Hospital of  New Jersey from 1988 to 1992. Dr. A has been Board Certified since 1992.  Dr. Acevedo strongly believes that providing patients and parents with information and knowledge will empower them to make healthy choices and decisions for a more  healthy life.

Christian Williams, MD

Dr. Williams graduated Cum Laude from Morehouse College in 2000 with a degree in Chemistry and minors in math and biology.  He then graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine in 2005 with a focus on Pediatrics.  He moved to his hometown of Houston, Texas to complete his residency training at the University of Texas in Houston and practiced for 6 years in neighboring Katy, TX.  Dr. Williams believe that the most successful treatment for the majority of adult medical problems such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Obesity, begins with prevention and education in childhood.   

Shawn Haggard, L.C.S.W.

In 2005, Shawn Haggard received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Dalton State College, where she specialized in Latino culture and studies. In 2008, she went on to earn her Master's of Social Work at Kennesaw State University. Since her graduation, she has been certified by the Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers. In addition, she is a Certified Grief Specialist, and has received training with children, adolescents, adults, and families. At AGC Pediatrics, she works with children and adolescents with ADD/ADHD and other behavioral and mental health issues.

Rebekah Kirby, PA-C

Rebekah received a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.  She is a native of Cleveland, TN and completed her B.S. in Health Science at Lee University.    Her passion for medicine and pediatrics began on the medical mission fields of Guatemala and Honduras.  She is a board certified physician assistant in the state of Georgia.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, fishing, camping, boating, and reading.

Stephanie Morgan, Nurse Practitioner

Stephanie graduated from Kennesaw State University School of Nursing with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing.  Upon graduating, Stephanie was employed with Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta as a Registered Nurse. Stephanie was employed with CHOA for over 4 years, where she worked in all facets of pediatric nursing. Stephanie attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she obtained a Masters Degree in Pediatric Nursing and became a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Stephanie lives in Bartow County with her husband, Joe, and their golden doodle, Charlie. Stephanie has a passion for pediatrics and enjoys the challenge as well as the educational opportunities associated with this population. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys traveling, Atlanta Braves baseball, being outdoors, and family time.​
